Our Doctors

Dr. Andrea Claire Gilford Johnson, MBBS

Graduated from the University of Guyana in November 2000 with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. She also has a Diploma in Medical Technology (with distinction), specializing in hematology. She also has certifications in the American Heart Association basic and advanced life support programme. Dr. Gilford Johnson joined MoonGate Medical in January 2023 from Bermuda Medical Specialties Group (BMSG). Prior to that, she was at the British Virgin Islands’ Dr. Orlando Smith Hospital as Medical Registrar. Her interest is community and preventive medicine and she is known for her excellent attention to detail, trustworthiness, compassion and high quality of work. Her motto is “treat others, as you would like to be treated as a patient and to deliver compassionate healthcare.”

Dr. Caren Griffith-Fadlin, MBBS, MPH

Received her medical degree from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, in 2006. After completing her studies, she continued training at the University Hospital of the West Indies in the areas of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology. She did additional training in Psychiatry at the University Hospital of the West Indies and in Primary Care at the Ministry of Health, Jamaica. She went on to complete her Master of Public Health degree at the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, in 2018. Dr. Griffith-Fadlin has a warm and engaging personality, a genuine love for people and is well-liked by her patients. She has a passion for medical intervention at the primary care level and focuses on improving patient outcomes through patient education and empowerment.

Dr. Peter Chipeta BSc, MD, MMED

Was born in East Africa, alongside his twin. Peter’s educational journey began at the University of Botswana, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1998. Paving the way for his pursuit of medicine. After obtaining his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University in Grenada in 2002. Peter continued his studies with a Master of Medicine degree in Tanzania 2013. Undeterred by borders, he furthered his expertise through the Lee-Jong Wook Fellowship Program in South Korea in 2014, also serving as a Cardiology Fellow at the prestigious University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. In Bermuda, he left a significant impact during his tenure at KEMH and Premier Health & Wellness Centre, demonstrating exemplary dedication to patient care. Settled in at MoonGate Medical, Peter remains committed to his calling, striving to enhance healthcare with integrity, empathy, and a steadfast commitment to improving the well-being of others.

Dr. Peris Ngahu,
MBChB, MPH

Director of Medical Aesthetics and Anti-Aging

Dr. Peris Ngahu’s passion for medicine ignited at age 13 and has fueled a distinguished career as a Medical Doctor and public health leader. She earned her medical degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya’s top university and a leading institution in Africa and globally. She holds a Master of Public Health from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University and is a member of the internationally acclaimed American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, where she received extensive training.

At MoonGate, Dr. Ngahu’s focus is dermatology, non to minimally-invasive aesthetic medicine and anti-aging treatments. She blends advanced skin care with aesthetic treatments and provides comprehensive, patient-centered solutions.

Her dedication to anti-aging and holistic health combines cutting-edge techniques with a whole-body approach, enhancing both appearance and overall well-being. As co-founder of the Medafrique Foundation, Dr. Ngahu has driven public health initiatives in Kenya and continues to advance patient care in Bermuda.

Fast service and quick results in the heart of Hamilton, at MoonGate Medical we are committed to efficiently providing test results for our patients. We are able to provide testing for virtually any blood test requested. There is no appointment needed and you can simply walk in with a requisition form from your own doctor any time between 8:00 am and 11:00am weekdays. We will have you in, out and quickly on your way.
